Procedes focuses on innovation: purchase of the VPS100 from the Kraft Group

Introduction

Procedes was founded over 30 years ago by Berend Beilken. His passion for textiles of all kinds innovated German digital printing and brought a new lightness to temporary architecture. With maximum vertical integration thanks to the in-house departments of digital printing, fabrication and metal processing for the production of support structures, Procedes' customers have new possibilities for trade fair construction, events, point-of-sale and interior design. With production facilities in Lemwerder, Cologne, Taunusstein and Chicago (USA) as well as other sales companies in Germany and Austria, Procedes is one of the leading full-service providers of digital printing and textile architecture. Detailed information on all topics can be found in “Sublimate - the magazine of the Procedes Group” at www.sublimate-magazine.de

The Kraft Group is a driver of innovation for highly flexible packaging systems. In close cooperation with our customers, we develop solutions that are perfectly tailored to the respective area of application. All machines and system components are designed for multi-shift industrial use. With a long service life, ease of maintenance and operation and low operating costs, we make a significant contribution to the success of your products. With tailor-made solutions such as the VPS100, we set standards in the industry and offer our customers worldwide state-of-the-art technologies to optimize their packaging processes.

Reason and motivation for modernizing the packaging area

Procedes manufactures almost exclusively customer-specific, individualized products. As a result, the size and dimensions of the products vary greatly, which poses a corresponding challenge for the packaging process. A new level of efficiency, a reduction in complexity and sustainability in this area were the driving force for an adaptation. The modernization of the packaging area at Procedes through the introduction of the VPS100 represents a significant step towards the future! The Kraft Group's focus is on creating modular solutions that enable us to further increase the level of automation and react flexibly to future requirements.

The Kraft Group's modular system offers precisely this possibility.
"With the VPS100 at the heart of the project, we can easily add further machines and technologies and thus continuously expand the level of automation in the packaging area. This flexibility and expandability of the systems ensures that our packaging processes remain efficient and future-proof, while at the same time increasing productivity and further improving the quality of our packaging."

At Procedes' request, the Cubetape, which was originally connected via a Bluetooth interface, was supplemented by a non-contact measurement using a laser.

The Kraft Group's automation software also offers Procedes numerous interfaces for transferring individual data directly to the carton cutting machine. This means that scanner guns or hand-held back scanners can be used flexibly in the process to further optimize the workflow and increase efficiency.
